Teens and Online Privacy

When adults go on any type of social media site and view their teenager's personal profile, they automatically assume the worst and that teens simply don't care about their online privacy

In some cases this might be true because some teens post inappropriate images or statuses that may lead to trouble. However, on the other hand, there are several teens who do care about their personal settings since they go through obstacles to keep their information private.

For instance, teens will go through the hassle of...
  • Coming up with secret messages for one another
  • Hiding things from their parents
  • Blocking people from seeing things on their social media sites
Above, are just some of the steps teens take when caring about their online privacy. Every teenager is different and hides things in their own way or there are the individuals who really don't care if their social media site is private or not.

It depends on whether they care enough to hide the inappropriate information from their social media sites or simply let it be seen by everyone. If there are certain things that teens do want private then they will do everything in their power to do so.
