Online Addiction

When it comes to defining the term online addiction, people don't always see eye to eye.

Certain individuals see online addiction as a type of serious disease that some people simply cannot escape. Others view always being online a social media site as a way to interact with family and friends that they may not always get to see.

I believe that several people go on social media site to interact with others or do whatever they may do, but then after they will have the power to get off and stop at their own free will.

There is nothing forcing these individuals to be online when they don't want to be. Plus, if a person was to log off Facebook or any other type of social media site they wouldn't go crazy because of it. Online addiction shouldn't be categorized as a serious disease because nowadays more than half of the world is participating with online activities.

I think that times have changed to where people use social media a lot more than in the past and because older generations aren't used to it being that way they assume we are addicted.
